The game was released on April 9th, 2019 for desktop VR ( HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Windows Mixed Reality) and was released for PSVR, appropriately enough, in Summer 2019. Humans visiting the museum are able to enter the simulation of Vacation Island and are given their own hotel room with the ability to travel to three areas of Vacation Island: Vacation Beach, Vacation Forest, and Vacation Mountain. Bots now figured that the next logical step after humans do their job is to take a vacation, thus VacationBot has opened a respective Vacation Museum in conjunction with EfficiencyBot so humans can experience what time-off and not doing their job was like. The year is 2060, with jobs having been taken over and humans left to experience them vicariously in the successful Job Simulator in the Job Museum.
JOB SIMULATOR VACATION SIMULATOR SERIES
In gameplay, Vacation Simulator has more of a focus on mini-games and mini-quests of a sort, ranging from building sand castles with a series of blueprints to fulfilling food orders for various bots around the resort. Vacation Simulator is the sequel to the Virtual Reality game Job Simulator made by Owlchemy Labs, implementing some features from Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-Ality such as a wrist device and teleportation along with being able to wave to bots in order to talk to them.
